
Paddling the Black Water
September 11-13, 2020
Our September camping trip will take us to the Edisto River near Branchville, SC where Troop1 scouts will be paddling the black water of the mighty Edisto River Trail.
Face coverings are required.
November 8-10, 2019
Troop 1 is headed to the Hot Springs area in North Carolina for an early fall backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail. Hot Springs is the only town on the 2,180-mile-long AT where the trail actually goes through the middle of town so much of life there revolves around backpacking.

Annual dues for scouts: $100
Annual dues for registered adults: $10
Order of the Arrow dues: $20
Current high school seniors do not need to pay dues.
Troop 1 has produced 295 Eagle scouts since its charter date in 1914.

Troop 1 is a unit of the Palmetto Council of the Boy Scouts of America, chartered by the Episcopal Church of the Advent. Troop 1 received its charter in 1914 and has the honor of being the oldest boy scout troop in South Carolina.
