Camp Ho Non Wah Day 5Good afternoon from Wadmalaw Island!

Thursday was another wonderful day at camp.  Our boys finished all of their regular classes, and the evening brought several families to see their son’s tap-out ceremony for the Order of the Arrow.

The scouts enjoyed biscuits, toast, and, cereal for breakfast, and almost all of our boys were “on their own” for lunch.  The Woodsmen cooked an excellent meal of beef stew and peach cobbler, and all the boys said the lunch was delicious.  The scouts in cooking merit badge served meatball subs and hot dogs for lunch.  Earlier in the day, the scouts in cooking were seen boiling eggs in a ziplock bag.

Troop 1 scored a “99” for the campsite inspection on Thursday winning the camp paddle for the day.

Many, many scouts completed their scoutmaster conferences and boards of review.  It looks as if we will have a lot of new Tenderfoots when we return to Spartanburg.

We didn’t exactly enjoy the shepherd’s pie for supper.  🙂

The evening campfire allowed all the scouts to have a little fun with dancing, skits, a spontaneous game of leap-frog, and the inspiring Order of the Arrow ceremony.  Congratulations to all of our scouts who received the honor:
