Gilliam achieves rank of Eagle Scout
Richard Gilliam, 18, son of Rick and Elizabeth Gilliam of Spartanburg, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
He is a member of the Church of the Advent Scout Troop No. 1.
Gilliam is a student at Spartanburg High School, where he is a member of the Tippers Club, lacrosse team and Young Life. He is a member of the Church of the Advent, where he is a member of the Senior High Youth Group and Pilgrimage to England. For his Eagle Scout project, he constructed a footbridge at Glenn Springs Academy.
