James achieves rank of Eagle Scout
Hugh Tillman James, 15, son of Hugh and Caroline James, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of the Church of the Advent Scout Troop No. 1. James is a student at Spartanburg High School, where he is a member of the lacrosse team and student government.
He attends the Episcopal Church of the Advent, where he is involved with the youth program and Acolyte program.
For his Eagle Scout project, James cleared out and put down mulch in an outdoor classroom at McCracken Junior High School. He also assembled two picnic tables for the students to use.
