Tiller named Eagle Scout
Walker Howard Tiller, 13, son of Nancy Blake Tiller of Spartanburg and the late Dr. W. Howard Tiller Jr., recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
He is a member of the Church of the Advent Troop No. 1. Walker is a student at Spartanburg Day School, where he is a member of the cross country team and middle school basketball team and has been named to the high honor roll.
He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg, where he is a member of the Junior High Youth program.
Walker’s Eagle Scout project benefited both the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home and SPACE. He led 20 fellow scouts in building and installing four large benches along the Upper Chinquapin Trail, which is located just behind the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s Hospice Home.
