Adobe PDFPacking List (revised)

Camp is just around the corner!

Please read the attached information sheet (revised since last sent out May 1st) for guidance in packing and other things about camp week.

Transportation

Email Ted Gage ASAP if any more scouts will be dropped off at camp on Sunday or picked up on Saturday morning. With 54 scouts, we are very tight on seats for both directions. It is imperative that Ted knows who we will be transporting before he has to do some more begging for rides.

Merit badge classes

We are making progress with the schedules and should publish them soon.  There will be an extra fee (usually $11-16) for some classes that require supplies and this can be paid online. Please wait until we send out the schedules to pay.

Physicals and medication

We must have Parts A, B, and C Physical Forms dated since June 1, 2012, for each scout and leader in attendance.  Please make arrangements to get this to me prior to departure and please make sure to e-mail Jim Hall any instructions for medications for your scouts ASAP so he may compile a master sheet.

Ted Gage will compile physical information currently on file and send out a list in the next few days.  A copy of the BSA Health Form is available here.

Contacting your scout

One of the most frequently asked questions is where their son will be, and how they can reach him…and rightfully so! Parents are encouraged to write, but not to call unless it is an emergency. The one main telephone in camp is for camp business and emergencies ONLY. Daily deliveries and collections are made at camp. Outgoing mail will be picked up from the mail box at the trading post at 10:00 a.m. each day. Incoming mail may be picked up by a Unit Leader or SPL after dinner. Mail to campers should be addressed as follows:
Scout’s Name, Troop 1
Camp Ho Non Wah
2609 Boy Scout Road
Wadmalaw Is, SC 29487
*UPS and Federal Express do make weekday deliveries to Camp Ho Non Wah
