Dear Mom and Dad,

Wow, I never realized when you told me a couple of months ago how I would enjoy Boy Scouts so much you were really telling the truth!! This is just awesome. I am so happy Mr. Satterfield gave me permission to get on his computer and write you tonight.

We had a great trip down except the air conditioner on the bus was not quite up to par. Mr. Satterfield said the temperature gauge got pretty high a few times so we slowed down a bit and kept on going waving to all the cars that were passing us. Our stop at Rush’s was so neat except you have never explained to me the difference between a basket and a box when you order chicken! You should have seen my face when I opened it up to find 8 pieces of chicken. Mr. Gage said we had to eat everything we ordered so I have little tummy ache as I write this.

We stopped at the Circle K right before camp and discovered they were running a special on 18 packs of cokes and Dr Peppers. You should have seen all the packs going out of that store, but you would be proud of me for I just got a water. I sure hope those other boys have some money left to buy pocket knives and pelts at the Trading Post.

We got to camp right on time. Have you ever been to the low country in June? I think the humidly must have been 315% when we got here, but I am used to it now and we have been playing ultimate, basketball, and throwing baseballs all afternoon. The big guys have really been helping me to have the time of my life here.

It is now raining and I think a night of hearing the raindrops will top off a great fun day and help me get a good night’s sleep with my new best friends. I hope Rover does not miss me too much and please give him his cookie and milk for me. I can’t wait to start my Woodsman class in the morning so I can become an Eagle Scout by the time I come back to camp next summer.

Did you know you can send me mail at [email protected]?  I would really love for you to tell me how Rover is.

I also hear pictures are being posted on the troop smug mug site at https://troop1.smugmug.com/2021/Ho-Non-Wah-2021/
