Robert Acheson “Goldie” Goldstein, 25, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, October 17, 2005 at his home.

Born November 25, 1979 in Spartanburg, he was the son of Lawrence Oliver and Janice (Roberts) Goldstein and the grandson of the late Edwin A. and Mildred Roberts and the late Oliver J. and Amy G. Goldstein.

He was a graduate of Spartanburg Day School and the University of the South, Sewanee, TN, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the Highlanders, the Order of Gownsmen, and other campus organizations. Mr. Goldstein was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent where he was an Eagle Scout, BSA Troop I, a member of the Order of the Arrow and a recipient of the God and Country Award. He was a project coordinator for Steritech Group, Charlotte, NC. He was an avid outdoorsman, enthusiastic fly fisherman, and accomplished chef. He loved his family and cherished his many friends.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Lawrence Gabriel Goldstein of the home. He was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Garrison Goldstein.

Funeral services were held at 12 Noon Friday, October 21, 2005 at the Episcopal Church of the Advent conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Batkin, the Rev. Robert L. Brown and the Rev. Alice Haynes. Entombment was in the Bell Tower Columbarium.

The family received friends Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the home and also following the service on Friday in the Parish and Community Life Center.
