John Reel clears trail to become Eagle Scout

John Toliver Reel, 15, son of Dr. and Mrs. Tod Rainsford Reel of Spartanburg, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of The Episcopal Church of the Advent Troop No. 1.

Reel is a student at Spartanburg Day School where he is a member of the cross country and tennis teams.

He is a member of First Presbyterian Church and a mission trip volunteer. For his Eagle project, he cleared the Chinquapin Trail and placed picnic tables throughout the area. He is also an Order of the Arrow member and has earned the Bronze palm.
