Troop 1 is headed to the Shining Rock wilderness area the weekend of September 5-7, 2014. This is a great area for hiking and backpacking.

Troop 1 will be camping at Lake Summit the weekend of August 22-24, 2014. Scouts will have the opportunity to work on rank and merit badge advancement while spending a great day on the water.

Troop 1 has a special “summer surprise” trip in store that is sure to cure the summer doldrums as we will head to the Charlotte area for a three night extravaganza “scouting style” with plans for our scouts to earn both the Kayaking and Wilderness Survival Merit Badges.
Thursday was another wonderful day at camp. Our boys finished all of their regular classes, and the evening brought several families to see their son’s tap-out ceremony for the Order of the Arrow.
