MERIT BADGE SELECTION
After registering for camp, non-first-year Scouts should select their merit badge preferences using this form by February 16th. You will find grade-level recommendations on the form. Most Scouts will take 4-5 merit badge classes. First-year Scouts will take part in the Woodsman program, and their schedules will be set automatically. CAMP EXPECTATIONS FOR OUR SCOUTS
All Troop 1 Scouts attending Camp Ho Non Wah are expected to represent the troop with honor. Please review the Troop 1 Camp Expectations for Scouts before camp.
PACKING LIST INFO & CONTACTING SCOUTS
Packing list information and details on contacting Scouts at camp can be found here.
REQUIRED MEDICAL FORMS
We must have a medical examination form on file dated June 1, 2025, or later. We must have Parts A, B, and C of the BSA medical form, an immunization record, and a copy of your Scout’s medical insurance card. As a substitute for Part C (the physical exam), you may submit a Pre-Participation form used for school sports, or if your Scout has had a well-child exam with his physician since June 1, 2025, you may submit the notes tab report from MyChart for that visit.
ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
As camp approaches, we will be asking if any Scouts already on the coast will be brought directly to camp (arrive by 2:30 PM Sunday) or picked up the next Saturday morning (parents should plan to arrive by 8:30 AM). Arriving or departing outside these times is very disruptive to the camp program and the morale of other Scouts, and we hope exceptions can be avoided except in extreme circumstances.
